09-09-09

Today’s date is unique.

I have experienced 01-01-01, 02-02-02, and so forth and none of those days particularly stand out as significant.

Today though has been a bit different.

I have thought of the today’s date often throughout the day.

I read a few articles about its significance on the internet but they all seemed pretty bogus to me.

It wasn’t just an ordinary day though.

It was exceptionally sunny and beautiful reflecting the joy in my heart.

Today is my eldest son’s birthday.

This young superman showing off his cape,

His Halloween costume,

And his favorite pj's . . .

Is now a husband and daddy, working on his doctorate at Duke.

He is a blessing. I give thanks to God for his life.

Happy Birthday, Andy!

Every time you cross my mind, I break out in exclamations of thanks to God. Each exclamation is a trigger to prayer. I find myself praying for you with a glad heart. I am so pleased that you have continued on in this with us, believing and proclaiming God's Message, from the day you heard it right up to the present. There has never been the slightest doubt in my mind that the God who started this great work in you would keep at it and bring it to a flourishing finish on the very day Christ Jesus appears. Philippians 1:3-6 [The Message]

I love the message and the MESSAGE! Happy birthday, Andy.

His name came up in conversation with Michal & Barb G. who stopped in at our house just yesterday! I said, "Why doesn't he (Ryan) look at Duke where Andy is to do grad. work?"

Then THEY said that they see you when they come to Wheaton. Small world.
