I, too, deserve a jar of honey. By the way, you didn't credit the cinematographer OR producer!

I really enjoyed your mini series Brenda...I once did a humungus research paper on bees...I love bees...You are so lucky to have fresh honey...I will always remember the oven episode...that story will be told in your family history for years to come!

I found your link over at Bernie's. Had to come by since we share the same first name. Glad I popped over.

My husband used to be a beekeeper (as a hobby) before I met him. I enjoy watching the few that come into our backyard as they busily hum their way around my flowers.

I'll come and visit more when I have time for a leisurely stroll through your blog. Cheerio!

Brenda!! Guess what...guess what!!
My granddaughter and I were leaving the school grounds on Tuesday, and we encountered a swarm. She was petrified! I calmed her down....told her what was going on....but I'm not sure that I convinced her that everything was OK. We could hardly see through them...and we walked through them.... Isn't she a brave li'l girl? She trusts her Nana!
I love your blog....beeeeeutiful job!
Smiles,
Jackie

Intresting! Is it true the bee's are dying off?

Jackie,
I am so proud of you and your granddaughter! Great job! Today is extracting day here. Exciting! Wish you could be here.

Yes, Dee, it is true that bees are disappearing. In our area, we have not yet had problems with Colony Colapse Disorder (CCD). I hope someone gets it figured out soon.
