The Wheaton Academy freshman class homecoming float was whimsical and creative with an appropriately bold and confident theme.

These two students, Widi and Matt, are not yet eligible to participate in high school sports. They will be tough competitors in 2010!

Oh my goodness did this bring back memories for me Brenda! Frank and Ginny, my two oldest, both ran cross country and track for years! All the meets that we went to. All of the sweat and cheering and pride. I know how you felt. Cross country can be so, so challenging, I hope Kent excels in this sport as mine did. It really kept them in great shape!

This makes me remember the marathon you had run Brenda...so you can fully relate with your g/son...Wish I could sprint up a hill like Kent.

My son-in-law is a runner (and a biker and a swimmer...) I am a 'watcher'... :)) Need I say more!!
I'm proud of your grandson...and you are a wonderful grandmom (what does he call you?) to be there...cheer him on....take photos...and blog about him!!
