I used to be a big Cubs fan along with most of my first hubby's family. It was great fun going to several games each summer. Now don't get me wrong, I would still love for the Cubs to win it all some year. It's just that my second hubby is a Sox fan so now my loyalty is divided or maybe I should say multiplied.
At any rate, this is a photo of 1st hubby's brother and his family at a Cubs game twenty plus years ago. We had some good times going to games with their family.
We cheered for these guys--I think this is Sutcliffe and Sandberg.

Oh Brenda, you are a good wife, so loyal.....me I'm a stubborn Yankee fan and always have been.
Loved your photos and to see the difference over the years is wonderful, as much as things seem to change some just remain the same. Great post my friend...:-) hugs
Brenda...I love looking at old photographs....looking at how things have changed...styles of clothing, hair, transportation...and I love to see how things are the same: smiles, fun-fulled times. This is a wonderful post!
(I don't follow baseball at all...I couldn't tell a Cub from a Yankee....but...sssh...don't tell. Some people may stop following me....seeing how deprived I am of this particular sport!)
Smiles to you from Jackie
My parents were Cincinnati Red's fans, during the Big Red Machine days...Johnny Bench - Pete Rose Era. My mother was like Bernie...loved watching any sport!
I like looking at old photos too...it reminds me, just like you...different world...different time...Same Love!!!
Luv and Smiles Brenda,
Wanda
As you probably know, I'm still a cubs fan; but I still think I shouldn't watch them on TV--I think I jinx them! Wow! Talk about having an inflated view of yourself!!
Loved the old pics! Donna
Holy Cow, this post was a home run!
