More fun than eating candy

It started with my neighbor.

Her Daddy died in December and she wanted to have some photos scanned and put to music on a DVD to play at a memorial service.

I thought, "Maybe I can learn to do that."

And I did.

Thus I began and because I have this problem with addiction, I have been making movies ever since. It is just such fun.

If any of you are interested, let me know. I would love to share what I have learned.

The best part is that you do not have to purchase any programs. I use Windows Movie Maker. It comes on most PC's or if not, it is a free download. I love it.

Here is a short and simple movie that I made. I have since learned how to fade music in and out using several songs and all kinds of fun things.

Okay, you're right, there is not much of a venue for these kinds of things but it is fun.

And addicting, I might add.

Awesome Brenda! I will have to try it too -- you're my inspiration.

Are you sure that was easy Brenda? It looked pretty impressive to me!
You have a wonderful bunch of grandchildren, I can tell they are well mannered and sweet!

Oh yes, Wanda, it is much easier than I imagined. I had a few issues learning how to put music in MP3 format. On some music that I downloaded from itunes, I had to burn a CD and then import the songs again into itunes and then I could save them as an MP3. It is all very user friendly and easy. You can mute the sound on home videos and then put your own music. I have had a great time. I want to wedding videos for people or retirement parties, etc. I hope that I get the opportunity.

Thank you, Wanda. I think my grandkids are sweet, too. They bless me.

What a GREAT job Brenda, I'm very impressed! I'd love to learn how to do that someday but I don't think I have the patience...maybe someday!?!

Once again, you've taken your computer skills to another level. I know you said it's easy, but the music part would be tricky for me, as I haven't really done anything with music. I'm sure I could always come for another lesson!

Sweet. I would love to learn how to do this but I am not confident of my computer skills...if you notice I still have not changed my blog back ground. :)

OK. Next time you come to Donna's, I'll ask for a 45 minute tutorial. Can you just use pictures that you take?

Start deciding what photos and movies you want to use and what music. We will have your whole movie done in 45 minutes. Sounds like fun to me.

Oh Brenda I would love to learn to do this! But I am technologically challenged. However if you can produce a tutorial, I would be willing to try. I loved your video with the grands and the gingerbread houses! The song you chose was perfect! Love Di
