Brrr! It's cold but we've got towels.

Imagine this, the older kids in this family were past the early childhood years when Splash Parks started appearing in our local area parks. I was pretty sure that Morgan would think that she was too grown up for this park; still I hoped that she would enjoy seeing it. It is pretty hard to impress Hale so I braced myself for his disdain at something so babyish.

Guess what? They liked it!

Since my Boston experience, I can’t seem to just walk by sculptures or stand and look at them. I have to photograph as well. This one invites children to climb and hang and play! As charming as it is, real flesh and blood gives that exceptional dimension that really makes me smile!

This little guy's mind is always working.

I love when Seamus talks because I am often surprised by what he has to say.

After he had been playing in the water for quite some time, I heard Seamus quietly talking to himself articulating his discovery, “Now I know why it is called a Splash Park!”

Hale’s face tells all. Like here . . .

And here . . .

And here!

Morgan is at such a fun stage—right smack between little girl and grown up girl.

I am so glad that she can still be both.

I hope she will stay this way for a long time!

Cozied up! Perfect end to a great but cold day!

Very sweet post...loved the first photo, but they all were great...
I know what you mean by the little girl quality...my G/daughter Katie posesses that even though 16 now and driving...mature but the sweet little girl shines through.
You captured the joy of their day well...Beautiful children!

HI,

I'm trying to 'cover' for Jackie who's Internet server is down. she wanted me to let you kinow that she feels so bad that she can't comment.

On the 'up' side I will say that I enjoyed the pictures for her and also finding out that you are (or have been) in my hometown of Chicago.

We also share the least than desireable trait of being widows (but I always add that I thank God that I was so blessed to have him for so many years) who remarried.

blessings,

marcy

P.S. although a very fast typist, I can add that I am a VERY inaccurate typist. It might also be interesting to know that I CAN be literate, although my comment does not reflect that (sorry, it should have been less, not least and She not she).

HI! Thanks for stopping by our little blog! I am a bit slow on the blog front lately with a new baby so close but I love the way you write about the kids antics so I'll be back soon!

The "brrr!" in the title caught my eye. The older I get, the more "brrrr-prone" I am. But not kids, huh? Another great experience to carry in your grandma-basket of memories.

Brenda, I just want to say thank you for your tip on disabeling shock flash object to upload a picture. I tried it on my facebook today and it let me upload a picture to my profile. I will try it again tomorrow on my blog if my computer won't let me upload. Did you ever find and fix your problem with uploading pictures? Dee
